Beauty is said to be in the eye of the beholder. So much of this beauty, however, is invisible to the naked eye. Imagine what we are missing? Fortunately, Howard Hughes Medical Institute and its Janelia Research Campus launched the Beautiful Biology site (https://www.hhmi.org/beautifulbiology) to allow everyone to view and explore all of those beautiful things that cannot easily be seen. Beautiful Biology compiles unbelievable images from scientists and photographers from around the world. These images are available for the first time in a stunning collection to inspire current and future biologists.
Beautiful Biology divides the website into several useful components to entice the viewer. The “Visual Spectacle” offers random and numerous microscopic images that appear on the screen.
