By all means, let’s DO teach Creationism in science classes.


That is probably your reaction. And I am not talking about the proposition that if we allow religion to be taught in schools, we should also be allowed to teach chemistry and physics in church – though there is some merit to that proposal.

I am dead serious when I say that we should teach Creationism in science class. I practically salivate at the prospect of doing it. What I am very much surprised is that the opposing camps are championing precisely the opposite of what they should indeed be either desperately preventing or promoting. I do not really believe that either side has thought things through. But I suppose that is to be expected – when emotions run high, rational thinking goes to the backburner.
